Infos über Konzert
Cellar Cat is a band from Riga, Latvia that describes itself as being for people who can't decide if they like Bring Me The Horizon or Taylor Swift. Critical AcclaIm from Prerov will play as support.
Cellar Cat started out as an indie rock and britpop band, but since the arrival of all current members in 2015 they transformed into the full-blown alternative rock and metal party they are now. In 2023 they were one of the 6 finalists of the Latvian leg of Wacken Metal Battle.
Generally, the guys (and the girl) from Cellar Cat do not really care about genre restrictions they simply strive to create music which they like. Sometimes it gets heavy, sometimes it gets romantic, and sometimes it gets romantically heavy. Thanks to that they appeal to a wider audience and can serve as a gateway to heavy music for some of the listeners. Cellar Cat won several Latvian music competitions, got their songs on the Latvian radio and played at numerous festivals, including Labadaba, Live at Heart and the Eastern European finals of Emergenza.
In the end of 2021 Cellar Cat released their first EP called Broken Glass, followed later by several music videos, including a feature with Morphide’s Eissa Morphide for Living Dead and the synth-heavy Freedom, which has a saxophone solo.
With modern metal influences growing stronger inside the band, they have more heavy songs in the pipeline ready to be released.
