During the next edition of weekly jazz meetings in Boto Theatre, Dariusz Herbasz and Artur Jurek will perform. It will be a meeting of saxophone and piano. Dariusz Herbasz is a saxophonist born in 1975, winner of many awards in prestigious competitions, including two-time winner of the Jazz Juniors 1995 and 1996, Jazz nad Odrą, winner of the "Golden Key to Career" at the Pomeranian Jazz Autumn. He has performed at many festivals in Poland and abroad. He has cooperated and recorded with such musicians as Przemek Dyakowski, Wojciech Staroniewicz, Emil Kowalski, Tomek Sowiński, Eric Allen, Kelvin Christiane, Alex Hutton and others. These collaborations have resulted in more than 30 albums and music recorded for the soundtracks of the films Testosteron, Tomorrow We're Going to the Cinema, and the play Plaża. Artur Jurek is a pianist, organist, arranger and composer. Graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice. He has played with virtually all active jazz musicians of the Coast - including Leszek Dranicki, Przemek Dyakowski, Darek Herbasz, Joanna Knitter and Wojciech Staroniewicz. As of 2019, he leads the Artur Jurek Hammond Quartet. He arranges for: Baltic Philharmonic, Musical Theatre in Gdynia, Maybe Theater Company and Hevelius Brass in Gdansk and the band Behemoth. He was a co-creator of acting projects of Marek Richter and Andrzej Słabiak.
