Hunter

A post-pandemonium concert to celebrate the band's 35th anniversary.

Hunter is a brand in itself on the Polish scene. The band has been creating music on the borderline between rock and metal, with classical elements continuously since 1985, when at the GOP a few long-haired metalworkers decided to form a band and play as loudly as they can. The band directed the blade of their sounds and words against what affected them most in society – war, violence, intolerance, stupidity, fascism, Nazism and other “-isms". Today, after many hundreds of concerts, they still stick to their usual course without losing their charisma and enthusiasm.

During 34 years of his existence, Hunter has truly became one of the most recognizable household names on the Polish scene, having released 7 studio albums and 4 concert albums (some of them in DVD format). Their releases have gained wide recognition in the music industry (many times nominated to the Fryderyks – most prestigous Polish music award) and the audience (Złoty Bączek, numerous distinctions in music magazine polls) and the albums Królestwo and Imperium have gained the status of gold records.

Hunter's showcase and strength lies in their unique atmosphere, bizarre but wonderfully composed sounds and word games, unusual instruments, or rich scenery and carefully thought-out shows. Today, the band consists of: Drak – guitar/vocals, Pit – guitar, Saimon – bass, Jelonek – violin, Daray – percussion, Letki – percussion instruments.
