Shortparis

Shortparis present Apple Orchard, their fourth LP. The use of the archaic word for "apple" in its Russian title, Yablonny Sad, is deliberate: the album is an amalgamation of the past and the present, poetry and rigid form, politics and lyricism, dissonances and harmonious common triads, while its expressive edginess is framed by a slow tempo and nearly sentimental lyrics. Every release, live show or music video by Shortparis channels the unique musical charisma of this band, unfailingly gaining wide popular and critical acclaim in Russia and abroad.
