Kamelot est un groupe de power metal américain, originaire de Tampa, en Floride. Il est initialement fondé en 1991 par le guitariste Thomas Youngblood et le batteur Richard Warner. Au début de sa carrière, le groupe signe un contrat avec le label Noise Records, et se fait connaître en pleine renaissance du heavy metal mélodique au milieu des années 1990.
