Informácie o koncertu
Patrick Wolf returns after more than a decade with an intimate tour The Crown of Stars. On 9 April 2024, he will give his only Polish performance, at Warsaw's Club Niebo.
Music has accompanied Patrick Wolf from an early age, when, instead of spending time with his peers, he amassed his arsenal consisting of a bargain-bin organ or a home-built theremin, with time also developing home-recording skills. As a teenager, he joined a church choir, the pop art collective Minty and founded the experimental band Maison Crimineaux. In his solo work, this highly sensitive singer-songwriter combines jazz, folk and electronic music with the wide range of instruments he plays himself. In 2003, he released his already cult debut album Lycanthrophy, which won him acclaim in Europe and the States. He has also gained recognition with it among other artists, guesting on fiddle with Arcade Fire, Owen Pallet and Chicks on Speed. His next album Wind in the Wires (2005) was the result of him taking up composition studies and has echoes of atmospheric British folk and chamber pop enriched by electronic sounds. It is this that has brought him a host of incredibly dedicated and committed fans who support him actively to this day. The extremely eclectic Magic Position (2007) and Bachelor (2009) were also very warmly received. His latest full-length, Lupercalia, was released in 2011, and it was with this album that he came to Poland for his first three concerts. After a prolonged absence, Patrick is back with both concerts and new material. Among other things, last year saw the release of his EP Nowhere Game, from which the title of the current tour The Crown of Stars is taken. The concerts will take place in uniquely intimate settings.
The exact concert schedule will be published here and on the organiser's website the week of the event.
