Lásky rozkoš a žal

On 11 December 2022, a very intimate concert will take place in the Lichtenstein Palace under the name „Love’s Pleasure and Sorrow“ during the „Lieder Company Concert Season 2022“.

A selection of songs and canzonettas by the important Czech composers of the Classical and early Romantic periods, Jiří Antonín Benda (300 years since his birth) and Jan Ladislav Dusík (210 years since his death) will be performed. The concert will be complemented by Canzonettas by Franz Joseph Haydn, whose birth 290 years ago is being commemorated this year. Both performers (soprano Irena Troupová and pianist Petra Matějová) are respected specialists in historical interpretation, which, in conjunction with the space of the Respirium at Liechtenstein Palace, the hammerklavier and the songs, presents an ideal constellation.

The concert starts at 6 pm due to technical reasons. The compositions will be performed in the original languages and accompanied by Czech subtitles.
