Mezinárodní studentský filmový festival Fofr 2024

The Fofr student festival aims to connect young filmmakers with each other. Festival focus on the work of all young creators aged 15-30 who want to show and talk about their films. They are primarily looking for filmmakers from the Czech Republic, but it also offer space for filmmakers from all over the world, mainly from Europe.

It is important for the festival that the films are not only shown to the audience, but that they are primarily discussed with other creators, but also with viewers from the wider public. During the festival days (May 30 – June 1), festival have scheduled discussions after each film block, which will be led by film professionals. Even more important than the opinions of experienced filmmakers and film theorists will be the opinions of peers and viewers who will have the opportunity to comment on individual films. Another possibility for visitors to give feedback to young creators will be the so-called envelope system, in which messages can be inserted.

Organizers would also like to arrange meetings with important Czech directors for creators. Rather than their current work, we would like to focus on their beginnings and student work. As part of these meetings, their first films or student films would be shown.
