Information about the concert
A unique project for a quarter-tone piano by Alois Hába and other microinterval instruments – voice and Japanese shakuhachi flute.
New York jazz musician Steve Cohn, singer Annabelle Plum and Japanese shakuhachi master Marek Kimei Matvija create improvised music full of raw energy, the joy of experimentation and instrumental skill. Inspired by demanding contemporary classical music as well as playful jazz, their music is thematically defined, more or less conceptual improvisations.
