Information about the concert
A double dose of first-rate technical death metal straight from the US and Switzerland. Replicant and Anachronism will visit Warsaw's Chmury with material from their latest releases on Transcending Obscurity and Avantgarde Music.
Hailing from New Jersey, Replicant play technical, dissonant death metal. Active since 2014, they have released two EPs – Worthless Desires (2016) and Hypochondria of the Machine (2019) – and two LPs: Negative Life (2018) and Malignant Reality (2021); their third full-length Infinite Mortality is due out in April. Although musically they are closest to Gorguts, Negativa or Demilich, their work has also been compared to the achievements of Burnt by the Sun, Ulcerate or Pyrrhon.
The Swiss metal four-piece Anachronism traces its beginnings to 2009, with their demo released a year later and their debut album Senseless in 2010. 2018 brought the album Orogeny, and 2023 brought Meanders, which was released on the Unorthodox Emanations label, which works closely with Avantgarde Music. Anachronism's music is heavy and overwhelming technical death metal with the brutal vocals of guitarist Lisa Voisard. The band lists Gorguts, Hate Eternal, Ulcerate and Artificial Brain among chief influences.
Cursebinder was formed in Krakow in 2019; their ranks include musicians from Dormant Ordeal. They play black metal with elements of doom, sludge and even shoegaze. They released their debut EP in 2020 and their first album, Drifting, in 2023, through Italian label Avantgarde Music.
