The Track Inspection + Charette & Štveráček & Šoltis Trio

The double concert of the music groups The Track Inspection and Charette & Štveráček & Šoltis Trio will take place on 14 October 2021. The Track Inspection will perform from 20:00, and the Charette & Štveráček & Šoltis Trio from 22:00.

The project of pianist and Hammond Organ player and composer Jan Andr combines jazz tradition with modern genres such as soul, funk and hip hop. Inspired by the New York club scene, The Track Inspection is a unique formation on the Czech jazz scene combining the Hammond organ trio and the three-member brass section. Jan Andr's collaborations ranges from the soul-pop diva Tonya Graves, through electronic music producer Boris Carloff to the Milan Svoboda Prague Big Band. Also other band members Kirill Yakovlev, Tomáš Hobzek, Miroslav Hloucal, Petr Kalfus and Richard Šanda are experienced jazz musicians. The festival performance will also be the band's CD release concert of its debut album Introducing launched in October 2020 by Locator Records.

C S C Supertrio was formed in 2012 with Brian Charette, Dano Šoltis and Ondřej Štveráček. NYC organist and keyboardist, Charette, who is a Downbeat Critic's Poll winner and 2015 Best Organist in NYC from Hot House magazine, worked for many years with Laco Deczi's Celula. The trio began working often at the Jazz Dock in Prague and have played many concerts since. Štveráček is one of the Top tenors of our time with great work in Gustav Brom's Big Band and his own acclaimed groups and collaboration with Gene Jackson. Šoltis is a first call drummer having worked with I.M.T. Smile, Vertigo, and countless other bands. The trio plays funky instrumental tunes with clever harmony and slick beats. All members use gentle electronics in their set up to add dreamy soundscapes behind their burning solos.
