Information about the concert
Loud, colorful, diverse - the caravan goes on. Ignu, Makiwara and Surtarang will appear on stage.
Ignu is a saint and a madman. A Buddha and a bum. He seeks enlightenment and salvation. Each Ignu will recognize the other Ignu. John recognized Cyril, David recognized Lubosh. They recognized each other right away somewhere in Warsaw's Praga district. They have been playing together since 2015. They have two full-length albums to their credit. In 2017 they released Lightningflash Flintspark. Two years later the album Auriga where you can hear even more numerous changes of pace and moods. Ignu boldly reach for Polish lyrics. They combine heavy sounds with psychedelic melodies and lightness. Crazy rock'n'roll ride full of complex and surprising solutions. Makiwara, the second band from Warsaw, which will be heard this evening, is a six-member composition of musicians from various projects familiar with the scene (Ignu, Jah Love Sound system, Temple of Dakini, among others). Shaman mixture of ethnic music, hip hop, dub, rock, funk and electronica. Above all, it's good dance energy. The band Surtarang, on the other hand, was born out of the need to create a sound space for yoga practice. However, this was not enough, so they decided to present their work to a wider audience - that is how Surtarang was created. Their inspiration is, among others, Indian music. They use original folk instruments, such as: sitar, tabla, saz and darbuka, enriching them with modern electronic sounds. The music is complemented by mystical singing, and the mantras performed take the audience on a journey not only sonically, but also emotionally and spiritually.
