Ignu + Makiwara + Uranus Space Club

Information about the concert
*Akademia club is back, hungrier than ever for sounds. Summer Thursday evenings will belong to the local music scene. This time special guests from the capital will also visit Wrocław, with local support of course.
Ignu is a saint and a madman. A Buddha and a bum. He seeks enlightenment and salvation. Every Ignu will recognise the other Ignu. John recognised Cyril, David recognised Lubosh. They recognised each other immediately somewhere in Warsaw's Praga district. They have been playing together since 2015. They have two full-length albums to their credit. In 2017 they released Lightningflash Flintspark. Two years later the album Auriga where you can hear even more numerous changes of pace and mood. Ignu boldly reach for Polish lyrics. They combine heavy sounds with psychedelic melodies and lightness. Crazy rock'n'roll ride full of complex and surprising solutions. Makiwara is a six-piece consisting of musicians from various projects familiar with the scene (Ignu, Jah Love Sound system, Temple of Dakini, among others). Shaman mixture of ethnic music, hip hop, dub, rock, funk and electronics. Above all, it's good dance energy. Wrocław support will be provided by Uranus Space Club – a four-piece band playing a fusion of funky grooves with fat gruff riffs bathed in vapours of green madness. During the concert they will present material from their debut concept album Another Planet, Another Love.
