Information about the concert
The acoustic iteration of Łysa Góra and the duo Żniwa will play at Lublin's Fabryka Kultury Zgrzyt.
Lysa Gora is a folk soul firmly rooted in the Slavic land, growing amidst energetic arrangements. Lysa Gora has played a ton of concerts, festivals, tournaments, as well as live performances on TV and radio. They have participated in music and film projects. Their stage performances are a guarantee of an incredible dose of energy and atmosphere native to Lysa Gora. This time Lysa Gora will perform as Lysa Gora Acoustically; their search for sources and truth in and about songs, as well as their fascination with folk music, led the band to turn their attention to traditional acoustic sound. Compositions, melodies, rhythmics, traditional-white singing complemented by instrumentation such as string drum, fiddle, saz, szuflabas, didgeridoo, drumla and a whole lot of small folk instruments, introduces the listener to the extraordinary climate and atmosphere of the old times. The band's repertoire includes Polish, Ukrainian, Cossack and Belorussian songs, a whole range of Balkan influences and original compositions. Lysa Gora Akustycznie consists of Dorota Filipczak-Brzychcy (vocals), Sylwia Biernat (violin, Płock fiddle, vocals),, Krystian "Krystek" Jędrzejczyk (string drum and percussion, vocals), Paweł Piotrowicz (szuflabas, vocals), Piotr Kocimski (saz, vocals).
Żniwa is a married couple of multi-instrumentalists in love, Skjere and Raido. They play neo-Celtic, Slavic and Nordic pagan folk, inspired by ancient beliefs, legends and fantasy. They exclusively use acoustic instruments – including the lute guitar, five-string violin, didgeridoo, various drums, Celtic harp, talharpa and Irish, concert and overtone flutes. Both members of Żniwa are also part of the touring line-up of the group Żywiołak.
