Michal Rataj & Oskar Török

The collaboration between the two musicians builds on previous projects set in the field between contemporary jazz and classical music, traditional instruments and live electronics. First it was the Points-Rataj Quintet, which evolved into an electro-acoustic trio with saxophonist Luboš Soukup. The new duo of Michal Rataj and Oskar Török attempts to establish an even deeper interaction between the virtuoso wind instrument and a wide range of contemporary interactive electronics. Their musical vocabulary extends from electronic ambient through the overtones of club electronica towards the various positions of contemporary jazz and post-acousmatic music.
