Nocny Kochanek is musically classic heavy metal inspired by giants of the genre, which can be heard at first glance. The lyrics contain a specific humour and are usually based on facts, sometimes even authentic. Using humour often based on pastiche, language games and abstraction, Nocny Kochanek draws an image of Polish metal subculture with a distance to themselves and to the image usually associated with classic heavy metal. The band's latest album – Randka w Ciemność was nominated for the most important music award in the country – Fryderyk.
