Patriarchy + Void Vision + support

The provocative trio Patriarch will perform again in Warsaw with their vampiric show, intoxicating the senses harder than the first days of spring. At the only concert in Poland, organised by Unicorn, they will perform together with Void Vision.

Patriarchy penetrates themes of sex, power, subversion and death, intensely exploring Greek mythology and '80s slashers, dressing them in a nightmarish dreaminess straight out of Mulholland Drive and translating them into a sound that evokes both ABBA and Nine Inch Nails. Led by eternal provocateur, politically incorrect Actually Huizenga, Patriarchy now performs as a sexually vampiric trio, including a drummer and a guitarist. Formerly creating solo work, Actually Huizenga is a familiar figure in the darker corners of the Californian arts landscape, dedicated to the muses of film and music, whose working method blurs the line between art and life. Patriarchy debuted in 2019 with the album Asking For It. Songs from this release were remixed by Huizenga's friends, including Drab Majesty, Geneva Jacuzzi, ADULT. and Light Asylum. Released in August this year, Patriarch's latest album, entitled The Unself, tackles the drama of dangerous fantasies and love that is only a projection. Recorded during Pandemic, the material was mixed by John Fryer, known for his work with projects such as Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie, This Mortal Coil and Depeche Mode.

Shari Vari founded Void Vision in 2009, during the boom in the return of minimal and cold wave synth sounds in the American scene, which brought us projects such as Led Er Est, Martial Canterel, Xeno & Oaklander and Automelodi. The incubator for a new wave of artists fascinated by the analogue instrumentation of '80s electronic music was the iconic weekly parties organised in New York by Wired Records, where Void Vision scored its live debut. Void Vision stands out from other projects formed at the time for its unique combination of cool detachment, characteristic of minimal synth and cold wave sounds, with soulful lyricism and emotional vocals, evoking chills in listeners stronger than many of the pioneering slashers.
